Treatment of the Shoulder and Knee

Treatment of the Shoulder and Knee
Description

This course addresses one of the most critical opportunities that you face as a clinician. According to information from the National Center for Health Statistics, each year more than 12 million visits are made to physician offices for knee problems and more than 7.5 million for shoulder problems of which 4.1 million were for rotator cuff problems. In 2015, approximately $5 billion was spent on 250,000 ACL injuries alone.

This Shoulder and Knee course is designed to present the most recent and relevant, state of the art information for the treatment of the most unusual and challenging problems of the shoulder and knee joint, things you must know to offer complete, comprehensive treatment options for you patients.

The course provides an evidence-based approach to treatment discussing the latest research and more than 600 actual case studies delivered through lecture, demonstration videos, hands-on laboratory sessions, and open discussions. Attendees will have the opportunity to master new and effective evaluation and treatment techniques and implement them immediately into your practice as you learn from the best.

    Knee

Upon successful completion of this seminar, the practitioner will learn how to:

-Understand the anatomy and biomechanics of the knee joint

-Develop an understanding of patellofemoral joint pain & dysfunction & develop a treatment program from an evidence-based approach

-Demonstrate and organize a functional assessment for specific knee disorders

-Interpret the information obtained from the clinical examination & functional assessment and develop a treatment plan

-Design an effective and appropriate rehabilitation program based on current clinical and scientific research for the following knee pathologies:
