McPoil, PT, PhD, FAPTA will review the reasons for prescribing foot orthoses, what the current research tells us about the typical pattern of foot motion during walking, the theories proposed to explain how foot orthoses work, and differences in treatment outcomes for chronic plantar heel pain and anterior knee pain as a result of using foot orthoses.
