Exercise Instructions
Step One
Back-lying with both knees bent and feet flat, place the Thera-Band FlexBar horizontal underneath the top of the neck. FlexBar is positioned so that it lies along the soft tissue that is just below the base of the skull (the occiput). Head and neck remain neutral, in alignment with the rest of the spine. Begin breath-work – deep stomach inhalations followed by full exhalations.
Step Two
On each exhalation, progressively allow neck to relax onto the FlexBar to release the neck muscles. Control the pressure through controlling the amount of weight on the FlexBar. Work 5-10 breaths. Relax and hold no longer than 5minutes total.
