The Effects of a Conservative Rehabilitation Program for Multidirectional Instability of the Shoulder

Summary

This study evaluated the effectiveness of a rehabilitation program using TheraBand resistance bands in patients with multidirectional shoulder instability. In this case series, 43 patients completed a 12-week exercise program (Click here to view Part 1 and Part 2 of the protocol).

Researchers reported large positive effects after rehab on functional scales, strength, and scapular position. They noted the functional score improvements exceeded the minimal clinically important difference (MCID). Further clinical trials are needed to validate the efficacy of this protocol.
